THERAPY FOR disordered eating

Support That Gets It

Is my teen’s eating just a phase or a warning sign?

Parents and caregivers have great instincts when it comes to their kids. You know when something isn’t right. If you are concerned about your teen’s eating patterns, reach out for support. If your teen is skipping meals, eating more selectively than usual, calorie counting, over exercising or binge eating, their mental and physical health may be at risk. Remember, we cannot know someone’s health status just by looking at them. Recovering from disordered eating isn’t something someone should have to do alone.

I’m the parent of a teen struggling with disordered eating. I’m exhausted and scared—how can you support me?

Parents and caregivers have the ability to impact change in their child’s life- because you love them the most and know them the best! You are part of the solution! Parenting a child with disordered eating requires specialized skills, which we can teach you. From communication strategies to coaching your child through meals, we will be there to guide you step by step.

I’m in the recovery phase and need support to maintain my progress. Can you help?

Therapy isn’t just for people who are “in the trenches”, it is also for people who want to continue to maintain their recovery and progress. Through skills based Dialectical Behavioral Therapy sessions we can build on coping strategies, or explore deeper rooted parts of you through Internal Family Systems.

What To Expect

What ages do you work with?

People aged 12+, and their parents and caregivers. I have post-graduate training and a special interest in working with members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Is therapy virtual or in‑person?

All sessions are secure video calls you can join from anywhere in Ontario.

Do I need a referral?

No. Self‑refer by booking the free consult and we’ll see if we’re a good fit.

Are services covered by insurance?

Many extended health plans reimburse sessions with Registered Psychotherapists. Check with your provider.

What if I’m in crisis?

Therapy isn’t an emergency service. If you’re in immediate danger, call 911 or visit your nearest emergency department.
